Samos

Samos

Samos Island is the best starting point to explore the other Sporades as well as nearby Patmos, Kos, Nisyros, Leros, Kalymnos and Pserimos. If you want to find the real Greece without the summer throng of boats and tourists then this is definitely the place for you.
The Island of Kos, verdant and pleasant out of season, guarantees fun in season for those who like their vacations loud and boisterous.

Samos, close (at one point less than one mile) to the Turkish coast allows easy sailing to the relatively undiscovered nearby islands of Ikaria, and Fournoi. A days sailing takes you to the Dodecanese group of islands.

Samos Marina
The Marina is well equipped with tavernas, cafes, laundry, chandlery, sail repair facility, travel hoist, electricity, water and fuel. In fact everything you might require.
Only 5 minutes from Samos airport, the Marina is 500 metres from the beautiful old port of Pythagorion with its tavernas, fishermen, coffee-shops, tourist shops and tables set out under the trees on one side and its caiques and yachts of all sizes could be described as the quintessential scene of a Greek island.
